How does Radio Forecast Network Use Barter?

  1. In exchange for spot inventory, Radio Forecast Network provides weather service on a barter basis to their radio station affiliates. Radio stations pay for this service by providing a pledged amount of their excess inventory. (spot advertising)
  2. RFN sells this spot advertising to their clients and uses this excess inventory to pay for website design, printing, payroll etc.
  3. RFN announcers use their excess inventory to record weather forecasts for RFN affiliates (a half hour to an hour per day) and get paid in MediaAdPro Exchange barter dollars. They turn around and spend these trade dollars on the goods and services within MediaAdPro Exchange and/or the dozen or so trade exchanges and Barter Partners listed on this website that are also members of MediaAdPro Exchange.
